Bowling on New Years Day! I don't quite have the form down, but at least I broke 100 both times. We had a good time.

So Chris and I decided to go on our first overnight getaway without Korver. Although we missed him, we knew he was in good hands (my parents) and would be having so much fun with them that he probably wouldn't even care we were not around. That ended up being true... and Chris and I had such a fantastic time! We went to Leavenworth and stayed in a really nice studio condo. It was Christmas season so lights lit up the entire Bavarian village. We shopped and ate dinner in town and then retired to our place and got free chocolate cheesecake dessert. The next morning we went to a few shops again and headed home. It was a romantic and very relaxing vacation for us!

So they have a hat shop in Leavenworth with hats of every kind you can possibly imagine. It was fun to try them on. Because we were there at Christmas time we stuck around the Christmas hats mostly, but WOW there were still a ton to choose from. I thought the dreadlocks were a good look for me...

We had to pull over on our way through the beautiful Cascades on the way to Leavenworth because the Wenatchee River looked so amazing with all the huge ice chunks and snow. Western Washington is just so beautiful! We wanted to take a picture, which I was good with until I saw the signs that said "No Trespassing." Chris was sure that it would be okay if we got a picture so I hesitantly followed and quickly ran back to the car when the pictures were over. We'll probably need to repent for that one :) but the view was gorgeous!
